Tips for Safe Wine Delivery

We take the journey your wine makes just as seriously as the wine itself.

During summer months, all orders are shipped with ice packs to protect against heat exposure in transit. While the ice packs will naturally melt along the way, they do their job — keeping your bottles safe from excessive heat from the moment they leave our cellar to the moment they arrive at your door.

A quick note: your wine will arrive at ambient temperature rather than chilled, so we recommend refrigerating whites and Rosé for a few hours before opening. For reds, a short rest in a cool, dark place before pouring will do the trick.

Do you ship wine during the summer?

We do — and we take every precaution to make sure your bottles arrive in the same condition they left our cellar. All summer orders are packed with ice packs to protect against heat exposure during transit, so you can order with confidence no matter the season.

Will my wine arrive chilled?

Your wine will arrive at ambient temperature rather than chilled. Here’s what we recommend once your order arrives:
Rosé and white wines — refrigerate for 2–3 hours before opening for the best experience
Red wines — rest in a cool, dark place for a few hours before pouring
All wines — if the box feels warm to the touch, give your bottles a little time to settle before opening

What should I do when my order arrives?

Open the box, check that everything arrived safely, and give your wines a little time to rest before opening. If the bottles feel warm, a short rest in a cool, dark place — or the refrigerator for whites and Rosé — will bring them right back to where they need to be before pouring.

What's the best way to receive a summer wine shipment?

A few things that go a long way:
Choose an address where someone 21 or older can receive the package promptly — a valid ID is required to sign for all wine deliveries, and bottles sitting in direct sun on a doorstep is the one thing ice packs can’t fully account for
Consider your local climate — if you’re in an area with extreme summer heat, reach out and we’ll help you find the best shipping window for your order

Is there an additional charge for summer ice pack shipping?

Ice packs are included with every summer shipment — because getting your wine to you safely is something we never compromise on. Orders of $375 or more — ice pack shipping is included at no additional charge.

Is signature required for delivery?

Yes, please ensure someone age 21+ is available to sign for your package. A successful delivery on the first attempt minimizes the time your wine spends in transit. Consider shipping to a business address.
