Our Vineyards

When he first settled in Napa Valley, Louis M. Martini sought to source from the most coveted vineyards in the region. With the 1938 purchase of the Goldstein Ranch in the Mayacamas Mountains, he embarked on a new chapter in advanced viticulture and vineyard-driven winemaking. The vineyard, renamed Monte Rosso for its red volcanic soils, has since become the emblematic source of some of our most sought-after releases. Today, we continue to source the best grapes possible from Napa Valley and beyond.

Monte Rosso

Perched at 1,200 feet in elevation over the town of Sonoma, the vineyard’s southwestern facing aspect is unique relative to most of its east and west facing neighbors in the Mayacamas Mountains. Its volcanic, iron-rich, red clay loam soil imparts brilliant acidity in the wines from this iconic vineyard, often recognized among not only California’s but the world’s greatest.

Elevation: 1,100 – 1,300 Feet

Stagecoach Vineyard

Stagecoach

Nestled in a remote bowl in the Vaca Mountains, its steep terrain is strewn with enormous boulders. The thin soils devigorate the vines & provide exceptional drainage.

Elevation: 1,300 – 1,800 Feet
Soil: Volcanic Basalt

“My goal is to craft a collection of wines that lends itself to the holistic wine experience. It’s an honor to continue working alongside the amazing team here as we work together to uphold the Martini winemaking standards that have spanned generations.”
