2020 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon

From a single vineyard and being released for the first time on its own, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder spent 21 months in 86% new French oak. It's cedary as a result, but otherwise, this is fresh and cassis laden, with slightly herbal nuances that suggest bay leaf and sage. A full-bodied effort, it's concentrated, silky and rich, adding hints of dark chocolate and perhaps a touch of warmth on the lingering finish.
The inaugural vintage of our Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the depth of the vineyard’s mountain fruit. This wine features aromas of black currant, crushed gravel and dried bay leaf with a kiss of violet. Dense notes of blackberry, black plum, dark chocolate and cedar are revealed on the structured palate and linger through the silky, rich finish.
