Same vintage. Same winemaker. Two mountains that couldn't be more different.

Monte Rosso sits in the Mayacamas Mountains above the Sonoma Valley floor. The soil is volcanic, the elevation is extreme, and some of the blocks we draw from were planted by Louis M. Martini himself — vines that have spent decades reaching into the same ground, producing fruit with a precision and depth that can't be manufactured. It's a wine with history in it. You can taste the specificity of the place.

Stagecoach Vineyard sits at 1,600 feet in the eastern hills of Napa Valley. It's one of the most celebrated addresses in American wine for a reason: the elevation, the rocky volcanic soils, and the mountain intensity it delivers to every vintage. Bold, concentrated, and built to last.

We made both wines in the same year, with the same winemaker, using the same standard. What came out of barrel couldn't have been more different. That's the point.
