2019 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
A true mountain-grown Cabernet, this wine is unmistakably rustic. The 2019 vintage opens with aromas of red currant and cherry complemented by undertones of forest floor, thyme and fresh cedar. The full-bodied palate boasts notes of chocolate covered cherries and blueberries that rest on ripe, dusty tannins. This wine will slowly smooth over time, rewarding those who are patient enough to cellar for ten to twenty years.

The Wine Advocate, May 4, 2023
Sourced from a couple of growers, the impressive 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain offers up complex aromas of pine needle, bay leaf, blueberry, cassis and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, this is more rounded and possibly maturing a bit faster than I expected from last year's barrel sample. It's already drinking well but should continue to do so for at least another 15 years or so.
