Louis M. Martini Feature in Wine Spectator
For their annual California Cabernet issue, Wine Spectator took a trip to our recently restored winery where they learned about our storied history, the iconic personalities involved, and our dedication to Cabernet Sauvignon over the last 87 years.
Writer Tim Fish met winemakers of the past as well as our current winemaker Michael Eddy to tell the story of two winemaking families and how they united for a “return to glory” as an esteemed producer of mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and as a premier Napa Valley Destination.
“Had I that kind of vision I would have come up with something very similar,” says third generation Martini and former CEO, Carolyn Martini. “How can you look at that place and complain?”
In a supplemental article, James Molesworth provides his account of an incredible 33-vintage vertical tasting. “Return To Glory” chronicles a bottle-by-bottle journey through our winemaking past, featuring select Cabernets dating back to 1956 and culminating in barrel selections of three of our most anticipated 2018 Cabernet Sauvignons.
We welcome you to experience both articles and gain a deeper understanding of Louis M. Martini and our dedication to crafting world-class Cabernet Sauvignon.
